Main reason for not getting petrol option
Mahindra XUV700 comes with a 2.0-litre (200 PS) turbocharged petrol engine (in addition to the 2.2-litre, 185 PS diesel engine). And the Harrier and Safari new versions also come with only a 2.0-litre (170 PS) four-cylinder diesel engine. Now the reason is that people do not get the option of petrol variants and these options are fulfilled by Mahindra XUV700.
the price is also low
The price of XUV700 base variant starts at Rs 14.03 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, the price of Harrier starts from Rs 15.49 lakh and the price of Safari starts from Rs 16.19 lakh. The market has seen a significant increase in the prices of both Harrier and Safari after the arrival of the new versions. Its top-spec diesel-automatic front-wheel drive variant is also cheaper than the Harrier and Safari. The starting price of XUV700 is the lowest among the three SUVs.

New version of features can raise Tata’s hopes
The pre-facelift versions of Tata Harrier and Safari did not prove to be as good in features compared to the XUV700. However, the updated Harrier and Safari have now started getting more features than the XUV700, Tata may raise hopes about the vehicle in the coming days.
